Same festival, two months later

This is the second Rebel Lion video to screen there. The organisation runs three festivals on a single Hollywood afternoon — Film, Music Video and Micro-Drama — each with its own selections and awards. In August, the video for “Sauce That” took five awards at the same organisation's music video strand — three jury awards including Best Music Video, Best Comedy and Best Experimental, plus Audience Choice Best Music Video and Most Fun.

The feature

“Cruisin'” features Gabriella Macias, who records as Ella Mac and was the singer for Donella Drive.

She is also, through a chain of coincidences involving a diner at two in the morning and a show at Hi Tones, the reason I met my wife. Having her on this record was never going to be optional.

Why these videos are AI

Because there is no budget, and the alternative was no video at all. The full reasoning is here — short version: the visuals were a wall I could not pay through, the music is the part I will not hand to a machine, and every creative decision in these is still mine.
