Privacy and Cookies

This covers rebel-lion-music.com — what the website collects, what it stores in your browser, and who else is involved. It is written in plain language and kept accurate as the site changes.

Checkout happens on Big Cartel, not here. Their privacy policy, terms and shipping and returns govern orders.

The short version

• No analytics. No advertising pixels. No third-party trackers of any kind.
• One cookie, used to decide whether to show a local pickup offer. It expires in 30 minutes.
• We never sell or rent your information. Ever.

Cookies

The site sets exactly one cookie.

It is set by our hosting provider, Netlify, at the network edge. Netlify works out an approximate location from your IP address, we reduce that to one of three values, and that value is what gets stored. Your IP address is not recorded by us, not passed to any third party, and not used for advertising. There is no cross-site tracking and no profile.

We load no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, no embedded video or social widgets, and no third-party JavaScript at all. There are no other cookies to consent to.

What is kept in your browser

The game Spread the Plague stores two things locally on your own device, using browser storage rather than cookies:

• Your personal best score
• A random ID so the leaderboard can recognise repeat scores from the same device and update your entry instead of duplicating it. It is a random string, not linked to you.

Clearing your browser data removes both.

The leaderboard

If you choose to put a name on the leaderboard, three things are sent to our server and stored there so the board can be shared with other players:

• The name you typed (up to 30 characters — it does not have to be your real one)
• Your score
• The random device ID described above

That is all. No email, no IP address, no account. The board is public by design. If you want an entry removed, email us and we will remove it.

The mailing list

If you join the Rebel-lution, we collect your email address, and your phone number only if you choose to give one. Submissions are handled by Netlify Forms and emailed to us.

We use them to send music news, release dates, and store offers. By giving a phone number you agree to receive recurring marketing texts; consent is not a condition of purchase, message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

We do not sell, rent or share your email or phone number with anyone.

Server logs

Like every website, our host keeps standard access logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps. These are generated and retained by Netlify for security and reliability. We do not use them to build profiles or target advertising.

Who else is involved

Links out to other sites are plain links — nothing is embedded, so those companies do not see you unless you actually click.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Your choices

• Email or text: unsubscribe link in any email, or reply STOP to a text.
• Leaderboard entry: email us and we will remove it.
• Cookie: blocking cookies in your browser only means the pickup offer will not show. Everything else works normally.
• A copy or deletion of what we hold: email us and we will handle it.

Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including access, correction, deletion, and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data or run targeted advertising, but the other rights apply — just email us.

Changes

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. Last updated October 12, 2026.
