You Are Saying It Wrong
Quick one, because almost everybody gets this wrong and then the joke never lands.
The pun
Bluebonnet Plague is a play on Bubonic Plague.
Bubonic. Bluebonnet. Say them next to each other and you will hear it.
So say it with that inflection
Most Texans say BLUE-bonnet — stress up front, flat through the rest, the way you say it about a flower on the side of the road.
That is not it. Put the stress where it sits in bubonic: blue-BONN-et. The middle carries it. Then "Plague" lands exactly where it does in the original.

Why it matters
Because the whole title is doing two things at once, and the pronunciation is what tells you that.
Said the Texas way it is a flower with an odd word after it. Said the other way you hear the disease underneath, which is the point — the song is about addiction, and the flower is what takes the ground afterwards.
One is a pretty roadside. The other is something that spreads through everything and does not ask. The title needs both, and the inflection is what carries it.
Out July 27, 2027. Say it properly.
